Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Notamu ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Notamu mobile application and services. By accessing or using Notamu, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Definitions

  • "Application" refers to the Notamu mobile application
  • "Content" includes articles, study materials, community posts, and all other materials available on the platform
  • "User" refers to any individual who accesses or uses the Application
  • "Premium Content" refers to content that requires a paid subscription to access

3. User Eligibility

By using Notamu, you confirm that you:

  • Are at least 13 years old
  • Have parental or guardian consent if you are under 18 years old
  • Are a student or educator in Malaysia
  • Will provide accurate and complete information when registering

4. User Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
  • You may not share your account credentials with others

5. Content and Intellectual Property

  • All content provided through Notamu is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights
  • Users may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without permission
  • Premium content is for personal use only and may not be shared
  • User-generated content remains the property of the user, but grants Notamu a license to use and display it
  • The Application and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Notamu and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws

6. Software License

  • Notamu grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Application for personal, non-commercial purposes
  • You may not decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works of the Application
  • You may not remove any copyright or other proprietary notices from the Application
  • The Application may automatically download and install updates, which may include bug fixes, new features, and improved performance

7. Termination

  • We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Application immediately, without prior notice, for any breach of these Terms
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Application will cease immediately
  • All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability
  • You may terminate your account at any time by following the account deletion process in the Application

8. Community Guidelines

Users must not:

  • Post content that is defamatory, obscene, or violates any laws
  • Harass, bully, or discriminate against other users
  • Share personal information of other users
  • Post spam or commercial content without permission
  • Impersonate others or create fake accounts

9. Premium Services

  • Premium content requires a valid subscription
  • Subscription fees are non-refundable unless required by law
  • We reserve the right to modify subscription terms with notice
  • Premium content may not be shared or distributed
  • Premium subscription is priced at RM29.90 per month
  • Subscriptions automatically renew monthly unless cancelled
  • Users can cancel their subscription at any time through their account settings
  • Premium features include access to exclusive articles, memory cards, and practice materials

10. Article Collection and Organization

  • Users can create custom folders to organize their saved articles
  • Article collections are personal and may not be shared with other users
  • We reserve the right to limit the number of folders and saved articles per user
  • Saved articles may become inaccessible if they are removed from the platform

11. Content and Language

  • Notamu provides content in English, Chinese, and Malay languages
  • Content may include SPM essays, vocabulary lists, peribahasa, and kosa kata
  • Memory cards and study materials are provided for educational purposes only
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of translations or language-specific content
  • Users are responsible for verifying the accuracy of study materials

12. Privacy and Data Protection

We comply with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia. Our Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

13. Limitation of Liability

Notamu is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data or interruption of service
  • Accuracy of user-generated content
  • Academic performance or results
  • Any damages arising from the use or inability to use the Application
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or personal information stored therein
  • Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Application
  • Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code that may be transmitted through the Application

14. Warranty Disclaimer

  • The Application is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied
  • We do not warrant that the Application will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • We do not warrant that the results obtained from the use of the Application will be accurate or reliable
  • We do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained through the Application will meet your expectations
  • We do not guarantee that the Application will be compatible with all devices or operating systems

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes. Continued use of Notamu after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
